Entry Chime
By Calvin Fort [Spirit] (Common) Level: 0 Casting Time: 1 action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Target: One partially formed "Gateway" Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Weave Resistance: No

This weave is cast onto the vertical silver slit of an unopened gateway after hearing the sound of a chime created by the creator of the gateway. It is used to announce to the channeler of the gateway that you are prepared to accept visitors, by causing the gateway caster to hear a crystalline chime. It was common in the Age of Legends, and has been rediscovered since Tarmon Gai'don.

Long Distance Call
By Scott Garner and Brandon Stolz [Air, Spirit] (Rare) Level: 2-4 Casting Time: 1 action Range: Close (25ft. + 5ft./2 levels) Target: One Creature Duration: Concentration Saving Throw: None Weave Resistance: None

You think of a person while casting this weave. A point of light appears around the persons head and circles their head until touched. When touched, a faint picture of the person thought of appears in front of the caster. This picture comes with sound. The caster can then communicate with the person in the picture. On the other end, the person thought of has a faint picture of the caster in front of them with sound. No others in the area can hear or see who or what the caster/target is talking to. This weave is primarily used to communicate with a place in order to open a gateway in an open area instead of on top of someone. This weave requires both people involved to concentrate. If either stops concentrating at any time, the weave is ended. If the person thought of is not in the area, the weave fails and the slot is used up.

Casting Level Area
2nd 100 miles
3rd 1000 miles
4th 10000 miles

This weave provides another small function. The final part of this weave acts as the beginning part of the Create Gateway weave. Due to the fact that this weave is usually used in conjunction with the Create Gateway weave, it subtracts 1 from the needed weave sacrifice upon the Create Gateway weave if used immediately after the Long Distance Call weave ends. Effectively it does the same as having every affinity but stacks with as well. It does not, however, lower the minimum weave level for learning the Create Gateway weave.

Touch the Forgotten
By Calvin Fort [Spirit] (Lost) Level: 4-9 Casting Time: See Text Range: See Text Effect: Activation of one touch style activation item at distance Duration: Concentration Saving Throw: None (Will negates, see text) Weave Resistance: No

The use of this weave allows a channeler to activate the powers of an Angreal, Sa’angreal, or Ter’angreal that requires contact (Activation: Touch, Wield, Hold, Wear, etc.) from a distance. It should be noted that if this weave is used to activate an Angreal or Sa’angreal, and the caster does not have tie-off weave or multiweave, they have just wasted this weave. The distance the item can be from the caster, and the casting time, varies with casting level of the weave

Casting Level Range Casting Time
4th Close (25 ft + 5 ft/2 levels) 1 action
5th Medium (100 ft + 10 ft/level) 1 action
6th Long (400 ft + 40 ft/level) 1 action
7th 5 miles + 1 mile/level Full round action
8th 100 miles + 10 miles/level 1 minute
9th On this planet 10 minutes

The caster must know exactly where the targeted item is, if it is not where they know it to be the weave fails. The item must be within 1 ft / caster level from where the caster believes. Being able to see the item in question grants success.

If the caster uses this weave to activate or access an item in someone else’s possession, the possessor of the item gets a will save to resist. Also if this item is in use by the possessor of the item, the Weave automatically fails in favor of the actual activator.

+1 Caster Level: Activate a Ter’angreal that requires the sacrifice of a 0-level weave slot at a distance. Each level higher weave that is required to be sacrificed adds +1 (i.e.: +2 for 1st, +3 for 2nd, etc.)
